Roselind Bruce - Vanderpuije, WHNP

Ghanaian-American born and raised in Crown Heights Brooklyn NY, Roselind Bruce-Vanderpuije MSN, FNP-C, RN-BC graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from SUNY Brockport, upstate NY, in May 2013. She started her career as a Surgical GYN and Oncology Inpatient Registered Nurse at Highland Hospital, where she took care of an array of patients with gynecological diseases and disorders. When she relocated back to Brooklyn, she started working on a Neurology Med-Surg Unit at New York Methodist Hospital [also known as New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital (NYPBMH)]. In this unit, she specialized in taking care of patients that suffered from strokes, neurological disorders, and seizures. As Roselind yearned to learn and know more, she also desired more autonomy in her career. As a result, she became a Critical Care Registered Nurse in a Cardiac ICU at NYPBMH in 2016. Working within the field of nursing, Roselind realized the importance of teaching and educating the community. An outpatient setting is where it begins. She realized that many patients were hospitalized due to a lack of education/knowledge of their disease or from a lack of compliance with medical management. This disparity inspired Roselind to obtain her Master’s Degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in May 2020 so that she can focus on prevention. Roselind started her career as a FNP in Internal Medicine for three years, part-time and GYN on an as needed basis, from August 2021 to current. She is passionate about this field as she believes all women should be well versed in their needs. Roselind is passionate about the community she serves and intends on making a positive impact on it.
